Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Commercial Water Heater Delivery Driver .

Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Water Heater Delivery Driver, you will:

  • Transport and set-in-place Commercial Water Heaters weighing up to 950 lbs.

  • Conduct residential and business deliveries using the Commercial Water Heater truck (and other vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating or Gross Combination Weight Rating of greater than or less than 26,000 lbs.) and operate the lift gate and pipe rack in accordance with training

  • Perform all assigned tasks concerning Commercial Water Heaters including managing time on job sites and timely deliveries, and safety in all aspects of the delivery

  • Communicate immediately with supervisor if a scheduled delivery is going to be late so that the customer can be alerted

  • Interact with customers and associates, always mindful that this program starts with customer service

  • Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations

  • Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures

  • Respond to paid, on call, afterhours call as part of our 24 hr emergency service on a rotating schedule, unless a leave request has been approved by supervisor. Training will be provided by the company.

  • Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in installation and service within our industry is preferred

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Valid state issued license is required. (Or CDL if required)

  • Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to acquire a DOT Medical Card

  • Ability to drive a Non-CDL truck weighing 10,001 - 26,000 lbs.

  • Ability to lift 90+ pound objects frequently and 50+ pound objects occasionally

  • Familiarity with our products or the ability to quickly learn it

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving and listening skills

  • Organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to take care of a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge

Pay Range:

$15.61 - $23.41

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
