FTE: 1.000000 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: The Cancer Center Technician Sr is an essential member of the patient-centered cancer healthcare team. This individual, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurses provides delegated age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. Contributes to patient care by assisting with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to pre-visit planning, vital signs, performing blood draws, maintaining the environment of care, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, review of discharge instructions. Manages supply inventory, and/or assisting providers and other members of the Cancer Center interdisciplinary care team to enhance the patient care experience. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School Diploma or GED is required. One of the following is also required: 1. Completion of an CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program, or 2. Current staff with Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification and at least 5 years of ambulatory cancer experience will be grandfathered in the role, or 3. Graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training and 3 years formal on the job Medical Assistant experience, or 4. Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials: a) Certified Medical Assistant, b) Registered Medical Assistant, c) Assessment-Based Recognition Order Entry within 90 days of hire d) CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Graduate of an CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate) is preferred. LICENSURE... For full info follow application link.
