Position: Building Maintenance Technician II. Status: Part Time non exempt position III. Reports to:Facilities and IT Director IV. Position Summary: The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in and around the facility during operating hours. This role involves performing routine cleaning, light repairs, painting, and maintenance tasks, addressing immediate needs, salting walkways, keeping the exterior clean, assisting with conference room setups, and working with vendors as needed. The Building Maintenance Technician ensures the premises are presentable for staff, visitors, and customers and serves as a key point of contact for facility upkeep, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. V. Position Expected Hours of Work: Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work will vary between 6 am to 6:00 pm.Occasional evenings and weekends required as needed. VI. Essential Functions of the Position: General Cleaning and Maintenance: Follow the established cleaning checklist for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). Wipe down high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, and counters. Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to disposal areas. Clean spills promptly and maintain floors (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming). Facility Appearance: Keep lobbies, hallways, break rooms, and conference areas neat and tidy. Monitor and clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces as needed. Ensure all areas are free from clutter, debris, and hazards Walkway and Exterior Maintenance: Keep outdoor walkways salted and cleared utilizing company provided equipment during winter months in between snow removal contractor visits to ensure safety.
