The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry services located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Children\'s Wisconsin. Our pediatric mental and behavioral health team is made up of experts in child and adolescent psychiatry, counseling, pediatric psychology, neuropsychology, and psychotherapy. We can diagnosis and treat a wide range of mental health, behavior, and psychiatric problems. There is nothing too small or too big for our specialists. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. The Ideal Candidate will be a Psychiatry and Behavioral Health experienced APP with evidence-based knowledge, agility, and excellent communication skills wanting to be part of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to a pediatric patient population in an outpatient setting. In this role you will, Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine intervention in outpatient environment as a member of the Child and Adolescent Division. Write accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders. Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates and documents information. Privileged to perform procedures beyond core as identified by the Child and Adolescent Division services. Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care. Attend required training and meets key regulatory requirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, and the Join Commission.
