MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING Adjunct Faculty User Experience in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Humanities, Social Science, and Communication (HSC) Department at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in the field of User Experience (UX) to teach a 3-credit, undergraduate course on Search Engine Optimization starting in the spring 2025 semester. The course focuses on information architecture, search algorithms, and SEO best practices. Students will learn to optimize website content, conduct SEO audits, and apply SEO skills. The position will be available beginning in the spring semester of 2025. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Required Qualifications, Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills: A Master\'s Degree in User Experience, Digital Marketing, Information Science, or another related field is required. Expertise in SEO, information architecture, digital marketing Interest in working with and mentoring undergraduate students Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Tools: Ph.D. Experience teaching online and hybrid courses to college students or conducting online training to industry professionals Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with students Relevant industry experience About the HSC Department The HSC Department has offices in MSOE\'s Grohmann Museum, home of the Man at Work collection of industrial art. The UX Program has a close relationship with the Computer Science and Software Engineering programs allowing for collaboration in AI, ML, cyber security, data science, and computing education. The UX Program\'s Gene Carter Usability Lab provides collaborative space for faculty and students to research and develop engaging interactive experiences.
