JOB REQUIREMENTS: Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Occupational Therapy Posting Number: 201104287 Employment Status: Full Time Job Family: Faculty Position Overview The Department of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University invites applications for a full-time position as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD ) Program. This position is twelve-month, non-tenured faculty. Rank and salary commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will join an innovative team in the didactic and clinical development and implementation of the OTD program in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE ) educational standards. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include primary oversight and administrative management of fieldwork in the curriculum including teaching duties related to fieldwork content and aligning with practice expertise as needed, assessment of student outcomes, establishing and developing relationships with clinical partners, securing affiliation agreements for fieldwork, and fieldwork experiences and objectives, student advisement and supervision, management and evaluation of student fieldwork experiences including maintenance of documentation. The AFWC will work collaboratively with the OTD capstone coordinator as appropriate. Travel to/from clinical and community fieldwork and doctoral experiential sites is an expectation and requirement of this position. This role requires significant outreach, contact with, and timely communication with external constituents. Additional responsibilities include service to the Department, University and community, and professional development. Must fulfill duties as assigned by the Chair of the OT Department and/or the Dean of the College. Opportunities exist for clinical practice. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum qualifications: an earned doctoral degree from a USDE regionally accredited institution (or demonstration of significant progress toward completion of a doctoral degree); current Wisconsin licensure as an occupational therapist (in good standing) or eligible; current National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT ); at least 2 years full-time, post-licensure clinical practice experience as an Occupational Therapist. Must have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. And strong interpersonal skills. Must meet role competencies for an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator per the American Occupational Therapy Association Standards for Continuing Competence and uphold the values of a Jesuit university. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred qualifications: documented previous experience as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator with knowledge of ACOTE standards or documented experience teaching in an occupational therapy education program; evidence of engagement in community-based practice.
