Practical Nursing Administrative Assistant

Full-time position available with the Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center to provide secretarial, technical, and marketing support for the LPN Career Center operations as assigned by the Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center Director of Operations.  The anticipated start date is June 20, 2024.

 

Hourly rate: $16.00 -- 23.00 per hour dependent on education and experience.  This full time position works 260 days per year. Non-exempt position offering excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum requirement is an Associate's degree in business, technology, computer applications, or related area and one (1) year of experience working as an administrative assistant, school business, data entry/data management, or technology area required. Will consider a High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and a minimum of six (6) years' work experience as an administrative assistant, school business, data entry/data management, or technology area. An Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience working with a variety of government agencies, in particular WIA and county assistance offices, is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) to create documents/spreadsheets and proficiency using Google Platforms and email systems with attachments.
  • Adept at using virtual meeting platforms such as Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent organization, task-management and prioritization skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with disparate timelines is essential and to handle the constant information flow.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including customer service skills.The ability to express ideas clearly and concisely is required.
  • Ability to gather facts, analyze and summarize pertinent data, recognize potential problems and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Ability to handle large volume of detailed manual and electronic records with accuracy required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituencies.
  • Receptive to learning new skills and responsibilities as the job requires.
  • Excellent math skills needed and ability to operate a calculator.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact with co-workers, field staff, and businesses in a positive, professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a responsible and professional manner.
  • Must stay current with CSIU policies.
