Job Description

As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and performing intermediate tasks on various components and subassemblies according to production specifications. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.

• Install multi-level subassemblies and modules into racks using complex configurations.

• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.

• Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.

• Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.

• Perform online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

• Set up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.

• Handle/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated locations on the product.

• Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.

• Assist in performing repair work.

• Communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and/or engineers.

• Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery.

Essential Skills

• Capable of using a torque screwdriver and small hand tools.

• Electromechanical assembly experience preferred.

• Comfortable assembling small parts.

• Attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills.

• Good computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Work in a secure area and cleanroom environment.

• Assist, instruct, and qualify new operators.

Work Environment

You will work in an electronic manufacturing environment, specifically in a cleanroom setting focused on small parts assembly. You must be open to working both day (6:00am-2:30pm) and swing (2:30pm-11:00pm) shifts. ESD straps and other necessary safety equipment will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $26.40/hr.
