Valcourt Exterior Building Services of NJ LC Project Manager in Millstone, New Jersey

Essential FunctionsCoordinate the procurement of construction services, contract awards, and buy-outs; author RFIs, AIA industry-standard documents and exhibits; and develop appropriate contract documents. Support and promote best practices for Valcourt’s safety program. Create and maintain project management logs (RFIs, change orders, submittals, shop drawings, construction documents, FF&E, and close-out). Demonstrate familiarity with accepted industry practices, materials and techniques, knowledge of common and general code requirements, ADA requirements, mechanical systems, and components, permitting processes and requirements. Oversee and manage job cost analysis: Ensure project budgets are met by reviewing and tracking monthly and quarterly job cost reports; review and approve contractor payments, and invoices; and manage project scope and contingency. Prepare As Built and quantity analysis to support monthly progress payments for Client and engineer approval.Supervise, coach and mentor on-site managers and superintendents; build a team-based work environment; oversee all on-site operations, ensuring the project follows the established schedules, and meets quality standards. Attend company peer reviews for pricing evaluation and analysis to ensure overall profitability and to reduce project liabilities.Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow. Manage communication liaison with upper management and employees. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Management plus 3 years of experience in construction project management.Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Management plus 1 years of experience in construction project management.Special Skills Required: Current ability to: Inspect projects to ensure installation of specified materials, reviewing installation methods against project submittals and the construction against the intent of the drawings, and verifying the flow and status of the projects against the schedule.Maintain project management logs (RFIs, changes, submittals, construction documents, FF&E, close-out)Create detailed construction schedules using MS Project Schedule software Prepare schedule of values and monthly AIA billing.Review design documents and specifications, providing feedback relative to constructability, budget and schedule impacts.Review technical specifications of equipment and material submittal data sheets to ensure that equipment and materials purchased match the project specification requirements Travel: 65% of travel to client and project worksites within New Jersey required.
