Pay Rate: $35.36/hr + .90/hr shift differential

Schedule: Mon-Thur 4pm-3am & Fri & Sat 4pm-10pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on instruction in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding.

• Assess trainees' skill levels and recommend customized training paths.

• Emphasize safe welding practices, proper equipment usage, and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.

• Monitor trainees' performance to ensure high-quality work that meets industry and company standards.

• Conduct periodic assessments to validate skills and certify trainees in welding processes.

• Ensure all training equipment, tools, and welding machines are maintained and in good working order.

• Demonstrate proper setup, operation, and maintenance of welding equipment.

• Collaborate with production supervisors and management to identify training needs.

• Provide regular progress reports and feedback to trainees, supervisors, and leadership.

• Stay updated on advancements in welding techniques and technology to improve training programs.

• Serve as a mentor to trainees, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

• Address trainees' questions and challenges to promote understanding and skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a production or fabrication environment.

• Previous experience as a trainer or instructor is highly desirable.

• Proficient in various welding techniques and processes.

• Strong understanding of welding codes, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Excellent communication and instructional skills.

• Ability to assess trainee skills and provide constructive feedback.

• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) preferred.
