Insight Global Supplier Development Engineer in Milford, Ohio

Job Description

An employer in the Cincinnati, OH area is a Supplier Development Engineer to support the development of future technologies for power generation. This individual will oversee the selection, qualification, and management of suppliers specializing in additive manufacturing, post-processing, and generator assembly components. Responsibilities include:

-Supplier Development & Management: Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers and collaborate to improve manufacturing processes

-Post-Processing Oversight: Ensure suppliers meet specific post-processing requirements, Refine post-processing techniques to meet quality standards, Improve integration of post-processing steps to reduce lead times and costs

-Supplier Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement KPIs for supplier performance, Manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).

-Technical Support & Problem Solving: Resolve supplier-related issues with internal teams.

-Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, Implement lean principles to reduce waste, Lead supplier development initiatives for future production demands.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience in supplier development

  • Experience in supplier selection, auditing, and performance management

-ERP experience

  • Strong Excel skills -Additive manufacturing or post-processing background

-Solve issues, SCARS, root cause, etc.

-Managing KPI's in a spreadsheet with recommendations for a new potential ERP system. null
