Job Description

A global software development company is seeking an ongoing contractor to join the team remotely as a cloud operations engineer. The main initiatives of this team are to support an AWS migration, create an IAC framework and a Cloud Management Platform, support Customer engagements and serve as a cloud vendor liaison.

The day to day of this contractor will include working in the following technologies:

Tools - Terraform, Ansible (or Chef/Puppet), GitLab CI/CD (or Jenkins/Bamboo/Concourse), bash/Powershell Software Development - Tools (Python or GoLang), Version Control (Git), Editors (VS Code or IntelliJ) Experience - Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Containers (Docker/Kubernetes), Observability - DataDog (or Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics), general networking Experience IT Operations (systems)

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps/Cloud Engineering/Infra as Code

• Understand both cloud and on-prem architecture and be able to work with the according tools (how they operate, how to automate them and interact with them)

• Terraform/Ansible/Puppet/Chef experience

Strong scripting experience with Python

• CI/CD experience (concourse, GitLab, Bitbucket, Github, Jenkins)

• Containerization experience - using docker/Kubernetes null
