Robert Half Sr Network Engineer in Midland, Texas

Description You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the communications networks across the enterprise. You will lead and direct Operations Infrastructure projects. Additionally, provide backup support to other OT Infrastructure roles. Responsibilities: Interfacing with service providers and vendors to get proper equipment, supplies, and services to support operations. Work with team members to complete multi-staged projects and troubleshoot issues at multiple locations. Maintain strong customer relationships. Customer service, including attentive and active listening with management, employees, vendors, and customers. Ability to connect with business partners from different backgrounds and technical abilities. Must multitask efficiently in a high-energy environment. Must have a friendly and supportive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-player mindset. Team player, hands-on attitude, willingness to be actively involved. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Time management, organizational, and planning processes Utilize project management tools. Must work well with ambiguity; tasks will not always be routine. Must be willing and able to accept new tasks as assigned. Willingness to travel among locations on the Dune express. Must demonstrate and exercise good verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be skilled at documenting processes and procedures. Manage and maintain Technology groups' asset inventory. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours to provide 24x7 support and participate in an on-call environment to meet business continuity requirements, including weekends and holidays as required. Ability to perform work with little to no direction. High ethical standards and integrity. Will often set their priorities based on general guidelines and direction. Will have the authority and will be expected to make some decisions on their own, without direct guidance from the supervisor. support the development of the organization's infrastructure strategy architecture, service delivery standards, and best practices. support the implementation of OT infrastructure standards and best practices across all site OT and Process Automation platforms, working with other process automation engineers, IT, and OT professionals. support the evaluation, installation, and maintenance of production infrastructure. Execute computer system validation and control system lifecycle management. Provide end-user support via ticketing system, phone, and direct request. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 5 years’ experience with Operating Systems, Virtualization, LAN/WAN, Firewalls, SQL Servers client-server and terminal virtualization as a System Administrator Technical Degree and 5-8 years’ experience A minimum of 5 years systems engineer experience involved in the design, implementation, and/or support of automation systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Experience working in an industrial environment. Knowledge/Experience with regulatory frameworks in the OT space Knowledge/Experience with Industry security frameworks. Knowledge/Experience with cybersecurity technologies in an industrial environment. Knowledge of SCADA environments/technologies, including Modbus/OPC. Experience designing, developing, and deploying infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Experience with enterprise level systems and infrastructure. Knowledge/Experience with VMware, Microsoft Server, and Active Directory. Experience working with enterprise security solutions. Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, time management, organizational and planning processes. Demonstrate strong project management skills.
