Robert Half Manager of Internal Reporting in Midland, Texas
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Manager of Internal Reporting to be part of our team in the Oil & Gas industry located in Midland, Texas. As a Manager of Internal Reporting, your role will involve reviewing and analyzing monthly oil and gas financial and operational metrics, managing acquisitions and divestitures accounting including oil and gas property valuations based on reserves and handling other related oil and gas accounting and reporting items.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying trends and anomalies for review by Senior Management and operational teams
• Handle the creation of monthly reporting packages for senior management and lead monthly reviews of results with various disciplines within the organization
• Generate reports and deliverables to provide valuable and actionable data to management and operational teams
• Manage technical accounting matters specific to ASC 932 and the successful efforts method of accounting including overseeing acquisitions, divestitures, trades, and other transactions
• Supervise communication, procedures, and accounting for M& A activity
• Review settlement statements and collaborate with third parties on agreement of finalization of transactions
• Prepare and review work papers and schedules relative to the consolidated financial statements and other reporting requirements
• Manage the facilitation and support of independent annual audits and quarterly reviews of the financial records
• Maintain an effective control environment compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley as it relates to journal entries and analysis
• Provide support for special projects and carry out other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Ability to manage a variety of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Skills in Auditing
• Proficiency in handling Balance Sheet Account operations
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Experience with Quorum software
• Proficiency in using Workiva
• Experience with Spotfire software
• Understanding and experience with US GAAP
