SAIC Lead Scheduler in MIDDLETOWN, Rhode Island

Description

SAIC is looking for an experienced Lead Scheduler with hands-on expertise with Master Planning/Scheduling in MS Project in Middletown, RI . You will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise IMS/Roadmaps, program management reviews, technical exchange meetings, milestones among other requirements. You get to work with our technical team leads to determine critical tasks and their interdependencies across the program, using the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) as a day-to-day execution tool to periodically assess progress in meeting program requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Present IMS data in a clear and concise manner consistent with accepted schedule management techniques and processes.

  • Support task order managers with schedule status reviews and schedule update meetings.

  • Identify cost, schedule, and performance trends; and prepare reports and graphs to present status to IPT and Senior Manager

  • Integrate IMS schedule analysis and assist with planning and execution of Integrated Baseline Reviews.

  • Conduct Critical Path Analysis.

  • Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis (SRAs).

  • Maintain Resources, processes/procedures with data tracking and analysis.

  • Establish Project Baseline Schedule consistent with PMI best practices.

  • Monthly schedule status updates (at minimum) incorporating task completion status and/or variance to execution baseline.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years or more of related; years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Experience developing resource-loaded integrated master schedules using MS Project (advanced preferred).

  • Experience creating a project baseline for each project and monitoring project progress against that baseline and developing solutions for mitigating schedule risk.

  • Experience providing impact analysis of schedule changes; identifying schedule variances and opportunities and proactively developing mitigation strategies.

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge in determining the critical path and performing schedule status updates.

  • Understanding of plan of action and milestones (POA&M) and risk factors impacting schedule.

  • Experience managing and updating daily task tracking.

  • Experience with staff and resource management.

  • Basic understanding of military structure and terminology.

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, efficient, professionally motivated, conscientious, loyal, punctual, and team player and work well independently with only general direction.
