JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Harrisburg is seeking applications for the position of Academic Records Coordinator - Senior Support. The Academic Records Coordinator for Degree Audit and Graduation Certification leads all activities required to accurately maintain student degree records for students enrolled in Penn State Harrisburg programs and to support successful student graduation.

The position is responsible to:

  • Assess student completion of degree requirements in collaboration with academic departments for Penn State Harrisburg residential and World Campus programs; address discrepancies/issues related to their graduation progress

  • Resolve complex academic problems related to degree completion in collaboration with the Penn State Harrisburg registrar, University Registrar’s Office, University and/or Penn State Harrisburg program heads, and academic advisers as needed.

  • Approve and update individual Penn State Harrisburg student records for curricular exceptions, substitutions, and waivers following University Senate policies and University or College curricular guidelines.

  • Evaluate qualifications of students for majors and entrance to major requirements; authorize changes to major and degree requirements for individual students and update student records accordingly

  • Compile data from University records systems; generate and analyze reports of student, academic or curricular records to evaluate trends, resolve issues, and make recommendations to leadership

  • Assist with adherence to academic policies, procedures, and activities pertaining to all aspects of Penn State Harrisburg student records

  • Maintain student records, such as registration, graduation tracking, and programs of study

  • Draft student and departmental communication

  • Aid students, instructors and academic advisers navigate University and Penn State Harrisburg policies and procedures

  • Support the general administrative functions of the registrar's office

Education: Minimum Education, Associate's Degree, Minimum Experience 4+ Years of relevant experience, Equivalency, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires a forward-thinking evaluation of processes and student support in order to provide excellent service while maintaining compliance with University and federal policies, and professional best practices.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $55,500.00
