Job Title: SPECIAL PROCEDURE TECH-HOSP

Unit: Interventional Radiology

Shift: Full Time*(80 hours per pay)-Days- 730a-4p (Varies) Monday-Friday

Position Summary

General Summary/Responsibilities:

Independently performs Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of

contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration

of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the IR

department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good

working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on

call responsibilities.

Prior job title or occupational experience: Radiologic Technologist

Preferred experience: 3 years of progressive Radiologic Technology experience

Knowledge/Skills

▪ Human anatomy

▪ Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

▪ Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage

▪ Knowledge of advanced IR computer applications

▪ Radiation Safety

▪ Proven exemplary skills to productivity and teamwork

▪ Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

▪ Must possess effective verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
