Location: Middletown, NY

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

  Job Description:

  In this role you will:

  • Responsible for timely submission of transactions

  • Problem solve work independently

  • Responsible to post transactions on a regular basis and performs reconciliations to ensure accuracy

  • Independently reviews accounts to follow up on outstanding issues and coding irregularities

  • Responsible to maintain vendor profiles and information as needed

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting transactions in order to create concise managerial reports

  • Perform account reconciliations independently in area of responsibility and assists others

  • Has computer skills which include knowledge of Microsoft Suite

  • Be responsible to create and design useful spreadsheets

  • Communicates effectively with staff and leaders on a consistent basis

  • Identify variances or changes in transactions to assist with expense and revenue monitoring

  • Maintenance of all documentation and keeping all filing up to date

  • Understand and can effectively back-up other position (s) within the Finance unit

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

  The ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent 2 years’ experience

  • Needs to be able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Prior finance/ accounting experience

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, preparing spreadsheets and calculations

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus

  • Prior experience with business software, Ceridian Dayforce preferred

  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus
