Responsibilities Responsible for providing appropriate acute and chronic cardiac care by diagnosing, treating and helping prevent heart & blood vessel disease, including heart and vascular disease, congenital heart defects, heart attacks, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disturbances and heart failure. The Cardiologist leads an interdisciplinary team of primary caregivers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of the System, Hospital and Medical Group, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $446,652 through $559,107 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). Qualifications Minimum Education: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy with ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum). Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in Cardiology practice Required Certification/Registration: NY State Medical License Valid certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology within 60 months BLS & ACLS certification. Valid DEA Registration Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts, pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required.
