Actalent Project Engineer in Middleton, Wisconsin

Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to work with our Continental US (CONUS) Department 0160. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of an engineering team engaged in engineering design projects in the Government market, including mission-critical infrastructure design such as power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects. Responsibilities include leading design teams, including sub-consultants, and working with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate must manage multiple large and small projects simultaneously and must possess a deeply technical engineering skill set with experience leading multi-discipline design teams and interfacing with federal clients.

Hard Skills

  • Licensed professional engineer in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Experience leading and managing technical project teams

  • Ability to work with project scope, schedule, and budget

  • PE certification

  • Design expertise

  • Multi-disciplinary team leadership

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

Open to hybrid work near one of their 50 offices in the U.S. Preferred candidates will work with clients in the US and outside (Hawaii and Guam). The Project Engineer will report to the Division Manager and work alongside a BIM Manager, Division Manager, and PE. The team relies on third parties for a lot of the work, including smaller firms outside of the continental U.S. Projects tend to run longer than a year and specialize in energy engineering and design, including deep retrofits of buildings, renewable energy, generation, and energy security.
