Job Description
The AECOM Construction Management/Construction Engineering & Inspection (CM/CEI) team is actively seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Engineer/Manager in our Madison, WI office with work supporting the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).
The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the industry and have a successful track record of past WisDOT and Local/Municipal projects and clients.
The applicant will have experience in construction project leadership, construction inspection, materials testing, managing project schedules and budgets, and past successful approaches to winning, leading, and executing projects by working with staff, clients, subconsultants, and contractors.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Driver’s License is required
Preferred Qualifications:
5-10 years of construction engineering experience with WisDOT and/or Local/Municipal projects
GPS and Survey equipment knowledge
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Familiarity with AASHTOWare Project
Familiarity with WisDOT Standard Specifications, material certifications, and FDM
WisDOT HTCP certifications including PCCTEC, TMS, Materials Coordinator, Nuclear Density
Experience managing negotiated project budgets and schedules
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin
Travel may be required within the WisDOT SWR
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $71,000.00 - $120,000.00.
