Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering testing knowledge to the investigation of product issues, validation of new products, and prove-out of improvements to existing products in accordance with Trijicon’s Quality Operating and Product Development Systems.

  • Complete moderately difficult assigned tasks on-time with moderate supervision or assistance.

  • Collaborate with the various engineering groups, as well as other departments.

  • Follow written protocols and generate reports.

  • Develop and help maintain a PM schedule for test equipment.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment; control costs.

  • Work with Quality Dept. to develop and implement test equipment calibration schedules.

  • Develop and maintain test schedules for new projects and current product revalidation.

  • Design and make test fixtures when needed.

  • Problem solves test equipment issues and recommends solutions.

  • Rework/repair test equipment as necessary.

  • Assist Engineering in the development of test procedures.

  • Assist with hands-on training of engineers for running new test equipment.

  • Analyze product / project requirements to determine types of testing needed.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of test documentation and reports.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with a problem solving mentality.

  • Perform other similar tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings or blueprints.

  • Ability to use PTC Creo and/or AutoCAD 2000 or later version.

  • Basic Microsoft Windows / Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of basic trigonometry.

  • Must be dependable and reliable.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.

  • Detail oriented, creative thinking, problem solving and systematic diagnosis, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills.

  • Effectively interface with employees, customers, visitors, and suppliers.

  • Experience scheduling, running, and reporting results of tests.

  • Experience operating, trouble-shooting, and repairing pneumatic and electrical test systems.

  • Basic knowledge of firearm operation and maintenance preferred.

  • Familiarity with defense test procedures preferred.

  • Maintain professional, respectful, and ethical conduct at all times.

  • Maintain and project Trijicon’s business image, Vision, Mission, and Values at all times.

  • Maintain current knowledge of common industry test equipment and standards.

  • Four or more years of experience in test engineering or similar work in a testing facility preferred.

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent degree/experience

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, follow detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete standardized situations.
