Dayton Superior Corporation Product Engineering Technician in Miamisburg, Ohio

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable candidate to join our team as a Product Engineering Technician. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to provide technical support and answer questions related to our existing products. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn and understand our technical product line and will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills to assist customers and internal team members effectively. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Handle customer inquiries regarding product specifications, functionality, and usage * Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve product related issues as part of a cross-functional team * Support internal team members, including the sales team and customer services, as it relates to technical product questions * Analyze and supply historical product test data to support customer requests * Provide detailed information regarding special product usage and limitations to internal and external customers * Develop an in-depth knowledge of the products and industry * Maintain detailed records on technical support solutions * Assist in product documentation updates and improvements * May perform other duties as requested or assigned QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred) or 1-3 years relevant technical experience is required. EXPERIENCE: Previous background in concrete construction preferred. TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: * Basic technical/engineering skills * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD tools (Solidworks) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * None required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills * Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to build and deliver internal and external informational documents * Must be able to work independently LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: * Excellent written and verbal English skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
