Summary Description: The role of Brand Sales Representative - Cartonboard is responsible for establishing and maintaining key relationships at all levels of major North American and global brand owner organizations. This role will identify new growth opportunities and present Billerud's value proposition within the market segment. The position is responsible for developing and implementing appropriate commercial strategies to create a volume "push" through brands to North American converters, maximizing profitability of the given product line. A key to success in this role is collaboration with Billerud sales personnel in other distribution channels, as well as coordination with other functional departments. Analyzing the market segment, tracking sales potential, and compiling status reports is part of this role. Key Accountabilities: Grow margin within the given end user category and product line by effectively communicating Billerud's value proposition to customers Develop and manage the lead generation and conversion process of new customers to meet targets established by sales and marketing Prepare relevant market information that will be valuable to both external and internal stakeholders Understand and monitor the competitive market and product landscape and communicate this to the sales and marketing teams Provide segment specific perspective to drive and support our strategic marketing initiatives Work with sales to continue to build strategies for future growth and profitability of the product line and for the further advancement of relationships with key channel partners and/or end-users. Required Skills Required skills: Minimum Required Skills: * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written * Presentation skills * Previous experience dealing directly with customers on problem resolution * Demonstrated ability to creatively communicate value proposition to various external stakeholders * Relationship management * Ability to travel 50% or greater, if business requirements necessitate Preferred Skills: * Existing knowledge of folding carton industry * Keen understanding of packaging market in the Food & Beverage segment * Ability to work independently and be a self-starter Required Experience Required Experience and Education: Minimum Required Experience and Education: * Bachelor's Degree in business or related field * Established brand owner relationships Preferred Experience & Education * Demonstrated sales experience with brand owners and end users in the packaging segment * Agency experience Billerud NA is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
