Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machines, such as trucks, forklifts, and trailers. Run
diagnostic tests on vehicles, replace the vehicles engine, transmission, steering mechanism, braking system, and test driving the vehicle
to determine if they properly fixed the maintenance issue. Collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and
efficiently operating to the drivers needs. Will work with little or no supervision and will play an important role in the day to day
operations at J-M Farms.

This position is responsible for all of the following:
Perform all duties as required to maintain and repair all heavy-duty equipment on the wharf, light to heavy duty company owned vehicles as well as agricultural equipment
Perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, and work closely with the
other team members to meet company goals
Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
Test and perform routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damage parts and systems.
The ability to repair malfunctioning components possibly retrofits engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, and replace worn-out parts.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on all equipment, including inspection, tire repair and hydraulic and engine oil changes.
The ability to run a welder, torch, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic jacks and basic hand tools.
Daily cleaning and organizing of work areas, tools, and machines.
Work independently and productively with some supervision
Performs other related duties as requested
Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the safe handling and proper use of machines and tools used for the
operations
Adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for food processing
Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for food processing
Accurate completion of daily logs and reports according to the SOP
