Manage manufacturing and planning departments. Optimize day-to-day activities and streamline workflows to enhance profitability. Improve operational processes, identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to increase productivity and efficiency. Develop goals and objectives, and ensure they are met. Mentor teammates, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices. Responsible for manufacturing systems and maintaining validated state.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to plant personnel in the areas of safety and quality.

  • Support Quality initiatives.

  • Oversees production and planning functions.

  • Directs plant operations through implementation of established policies and procedures.

  • Collaborates with the groups to ensure cohesive synergies between the operations’ cross-functions.

  • Develops Production goals and objectives to ensure goals are met.

  • Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs to ensure Quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are met.

  • Establishes individual department goals based on business plan.

  • Tracks efficiency of various processes and adjusts schedules, resources, or procedures as needed.

  • Oversees implementation of corrective actions for inadequacies in process execution.

  • Champions Lean philosophies and develops and implements Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) to reduce waste and to streamline processes.

  • Collaborates with R&D during new product development and implementation.

  • Compiles data and prepares plant compliance records.

  • Reviews training programs to ensure alignment with policy.

  • Develops and implements standard operational and working practices.

  • Serves as SME for Manufacturing during audits.

  • Prepares plant's operational budget with site Director.

  • Implements effective cost control practices.

  • Coaches, mentors, and provides developmental opportunities to staff.

  • Responsible for interviewing and developing talent.

  • Evaluates performance and initiates corrective action when necessary.

  • Responsible for manufacturing systems and maintaining validated state.

  • Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in related field is required

  • 8-10 years: Years experience in an Engineering, Technical, or Production Supervision role is required.

  • Manufacturing Systems knowledge and Software Validation Experience is required.

  • 8-10 years: Years experience in a regulated industry is required.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, cGMP’s, Safety and Environmental requirements, facilities’ maintenance, Finance and Human Resources planning and development

  • Consistent adherence to Cordis values

  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong computer skills (including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to effectively interact with representatives of various government agencies.

  • Ability to problem solve and develop solutions based on RCA analysis techniques.

  • Ability to translate corporate goals and objectives into successful strategies.

  • Strong analytical problem solving, interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills, as well as teammate relations capabilities, technology management, financial analyses, and customer-focused decision making.

  • Lean Manufacturing and process validation experience is a plus.

  • Manufacturing system knowledge and Software Validation experience.
