Description Build your career in accounting with Robert Half, now offering a permanent position in the Amusement/Recreation Ser/Entertainment industry for an experienced Staff Accountant that has a knack for problem-solving and enjoys new challenges. As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will review schedules for the reporting processes, take part in compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities

• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Current and relevant ERP system experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Accounting Entries experience

• Accounting Entries experience desired

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
