Allied Universal Security Shift Supervisor Juvenile Center in Miami, Florida

Our Security Shift Supervisor conducts intake process, fingerprinting, inventory, monitoring and transporting juveniles within the Juvenile Detention Center. Must remain visible and display exceptional customer service and communication skills.

$21.40 / hour

Schedule:

  • Friday- Saturday, 11:00PM - 7:00AM

  • Sunday- Monday, 3:00PM- 11:00PM

*Must have (No Exceptions ):

  • U.S. Military Service (DD214 Honorable Discharge); or

  • Police/Corrections Academy Certification (U.S. only with Certificate); or

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for this post

  • Valid Florida Security Class D License

  • Must have 2-3 years Supervisor Security Experience, required

Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Required Valid Florida Licenses: Driver's License, Security Class D License

  • Must possess a high school diploma with one of the following to be considered for this role:

  • Law Enforcement Experience

  • Previous Corrections

  • Military Experience

  • Protective Action Response (PAR) Certified

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally)

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
