Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Onsite in South Florida/Miami

Salary: $75,000-$85,000

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality medical devices. In this role, you will work closely with R&D to ensure our products meet the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include reviewing mechanical drawings for quality, conducting audits, and performing receiving and assembly inspections.

As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with doctors and engineers to create innovative medical devices. You will define methods and equipment for measuring quality standards and partner with and train quality inspectors and technicians. Your role will also involve identifying defects and nonconformities, uncovering their origins, and developing creative solutions. Additionally, you will assist in regulatory and quality assurance efforts to ensure our products conform to internal and external quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline

• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer

• Experience in a highly regulated environment, preferably in the medical device or aerospace industry

• Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience

• Experience with internal and external audits

• Experience reviewing mechanical drawings/blueprints

• Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills

• Document Control experience

• Experience with new product development of medical devices

• Working knowledge of US FDA and international regulatory requirements

• Experience with supplier quality management (approval, audit, and incoming inspection)

• ASQ certification preferred

• Experience working with statistical analysis software, including Minitab

Disqualifiers:

• Pharmaceutical industry and candidates without mechanical product development experience will NOT be considered.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.07/hr.
