Job Description

The Product Owner will develop the high-level strategy for the overall merchandising, personalization, and offers optimization of the client’s websites. This position is full-time, hybrid, and a contract that renews on a semi-annual basis.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop the high-level strategy for personalized content delivery, including the roadmap, Use Case Backlog, and any other planning efforts to ensure alignment with the overarching business strategy

  • Act as a leader for the pod, resolving escalated impediments and driving execution through collaboration with the rest of the pod team

  • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to develop a unified vision and roadmap that ensures alignment in customer segmentation selection, overall business needs, and technical capabilities to support both personalized content and targeted offers pods

  • Work with the PMO Lead to facilitate ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews with the goal of ensuring task completion and tracking pod team progress

  • Prioritize the Use Case Backlog on an ongoing basis given changing business needs as well as the provided prioritization framework

  • Ensure accuracy when it comes to RICE scores for each use case and update as needed

  • Serve as the decision maker on any ad-hoc requests for content ideas or offer proposals

  • Remove any program-level impediments and blockers that are preventing pod teams from making progress on necessary delivery work

  • Communicate directly with the pod teams and lead development efforts by representing and discussing the project vision and goals

  • Drive execution of the strategy and use case tests amongst the members of the pod team

  • Provide general oversight ensuring quality and speed to market

  • Work with BI Data Analyst and Pod Team to glean insights and improve the process

  • Drive web promotional strategy and execution across the client brands

  • Develop standard operating procedures for distributing promotions, merchandising, optimization, and personalized messaging across the websites

  • Collaborate with the marketing and revenue management teams to develop and execute targeted promotions and messaging that drive conversion

  • Partner with BI, Content, Product Teams, and Personalization leads to drive deals and product recommendations

  • Develop and implement merchandising efforts to mitigate site abandonment and make data-driven decisions to improve results

  • Work directly with the BI teams to drive the overall strategy of site personalization. Activate CDP audiences on websites to drive optimal personalization and conversion

  • Create and execute a strategic roadmap to deliver personalized messaging, offers, and recommendations, pairing the right offer for the right product to the right segment at the right time

Required:

  • Experience with agile software development processes, requirements management, and project management using JIRA/Confluence or similar Agile collaboration tools

  • Demonstrated experience in managing promotional and personalization strategies

  • Strong knowledge of the e-commerce space, including competitive strategies

  • Ability to adapt to change and constantly improve

  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and across the organization

  • Self-starter with a passion for independent problem-solving, proven data analysis skills, strong ownership/commitment, and proven leadership experience in managing online marketing initiatives across teams

  • Preferred background: travel or retail

  • Proficient in Web Analytics and Optimization Tools (Google/Adobe Analytics/Target/Monetate)

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a technology-related area of study

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
