Aston Carter Junior Accountant in Miami, Florida

Junior Accountant | Miami, FL

Job Description:

  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) bookkeeping during the initial months.

  • Handle transactions, reconciliation, and categorization after the initial period.

  • Reconcile balances and manage income and expenses

  • Develop and refine procedures for financial transactions and understand the technical aspects of balance sheets.

  • Collaborate with the accountant and other team members to ensure accurate bookkeeping and accounting.

  • Assist in preparing balance sheets and making necessary adjustments under guidance.

  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and other integrated software for bank, credit card, and inventory systems.

  • Support general operations in the first half of the day and focus on financial tasks in the second half.

  • Provide necessary information for analysis and project management.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping roles, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to operate independently and own the processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
