Aerotek Field Service Technician in Miami, Florida

Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to service, fix, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on coin and currency equipment, ATMs, software, and specialized office products located at client sites in the Broward County area. You will work in coordination with sales and service teams at your branch.

Responsibilities

  • Service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment, including desktop products and smart safes.

  • Travel by vehicle daily to client sites.

  • Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs.

  • Address customer service requests within the specified contract response time.

  • Provide extended hours coverage and 'on-call' duty as applicable.

  • Maintain a balanced vehicle stock parts inventory.

  • Ensure upkeep and cleanliness of the company-issued vehicle, including scheduled service intervals.

  • Safeguard any company-issued assets, such as a tablet computer and mobile phone.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong resume with at least 3-5 years of experience at one employer.

  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in a technical service/repair position or equivalent technical schooling.

  • Knowledge of using basic hand tools.

  • Ability to use multimeters for voltage testing.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Additional years of experience in service/repair are a plus.

  • College degree in a technical field or vocational schooling is a plus.

  • Military experience (Army, Navy, Marines, etc.) is a plus.

Work Environment

This position involves 90% travel on the road from client to client, with 10% overnight travel as needed. The role is primarily onsite at client facilities, with occasional remote work and periodic travel to the corporate office for training. The job requires lifting, pushing, or carrying a minimum of 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting to service equipment. Hand and wrist dexterity is needed for using tools. The role involves standing for long periods while servicing equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broward County, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
