Paramount Director/Senior Director, Commercial Strategy & Business Development (LATAM) in Miami, Florida

We are seeking a Director/Senior Director, Business Development & Commercial Strategy to lead the commercial strategy and insight for our portfolio of Linear & Streaming Services across all of the LATAM markets. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. This is a key role that will help define and execute our commercial and business development strategy that will help achieve our revenue and development goals in the LATAM market. Under the leadership of the Senior Director, Business Development & Commercial Strategy, local teams are responsible for identifying development, sales, and product opportunities, challenges, and trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all the commercial and business development plans to deliver a strategized plan aligned with the companys revenue strategy and goals

  • Lead the analysis and execution of key strategy and business development initiatives related to revenue growth like mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, business innovation, and different corporate projects to optimize processes and resources in Latin America

  • Develop strong relationships across all revenue generating areas within the organization, including Streaming (AVOD & SVOD), Ad Sales (Digital & Linear), Consumer Products & Events, FTA & Pay TV Distribution

  • Review business plans, develop financial projections and strategic presentations related to potential joint ventures, partnerships, and acquisitions

  • Effectively communicate insights, analysis, opportunities, and recommendations to create new revenue opportunities and expand existing ones

  • Lead frequent partner calls and business presentations with external clients

  • Forecast consumer insights and analytics to inform effective initiatives, marketing & commercial decisions that will

  • Manage clients behaviors and trends

  • Generate leverages with local & global partnerships & clients

  • Execute detailed analysis to understand the complexities of market & brand behaviors across all consumer types

  • Learn & share best practices and commercial opportunities across all appropriate teams to execute opportunities

  • Review, monitor and control revenue pacing across multiple revenue lines to identify deviations and opportunities

  • Manage and support a team of commercial strategy & development staff across the Latin American region who will:

  • develop/support sales strategies for traditional channels, digital and streaming content, including programmatic sales

  • develop advertising sales strategies including working with pricing department on product bundling (cross platform), rate cards, pricing/inventory optimization and overall value proposition development

  • identify and lead the execution of new business opportunities to increase and optimize revenue across all business lines

  • Define client prioritization and client segmentation, including new business propositions, deal renewals, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of applicable/relevant experience

  • Experience in the media industry in Latin America, specifically with OTT and Linear content

  • Bachelor's Degree;MBA or graduate degree preferred

  • Bi-lingual (both English and Spanish/ Written & Oral)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills

  • Proven experience in the streaming industry and a deep understanding of AVOD & SVOD business & drivers (CPMs, Fill Rates, User acquisition costs, Churn, etc.)

  • Proven ability to manager, develop, and retain a diverse and inclusive team of people and ability to work across multiple types of teams in the organization (creative, commercial, operational)

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • Ability to navigate uncertainty, ambiguity and manage solutions to very complex problems

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing quantitative models and advanced analytical techniques

  • Strong financial and analytical background

  • Strong presentation development skills (solid storyboarding/ power point presentation)

  • Ability to present to senior executive audience

  • Candidates must excel in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
