WTW Claims Associate (Casualty) - Commercial Insurance in Miami, Florida

Description

The Claims Associate will be responsible for supporting the WTW claim consultants with day-to-day needs to manage the account.

The Role

  • Support WTW Claim Consultants for designated real estate client

  • Assist WTW Claim Consultants in reporting/monitoring of claims, which includes reviewing loss notices, reporting to appropriate TPA/carrier, secure certificates of insurance and property management agreements

  • Follow up with TPA/carrier for claim number and adjuster assignment

  • Track/update claim information in Origami

  • Ensure quality and consistency in executing claim services to our client

  • Engage our global network of professionals as needed

  • Appropriate utilization of all systems as required

  • Work with others as necessary to continually improve quality and innovation

  • Monitor the performance of vendor partner’s services

  • Promote collaboration and teamwork to produce comprehensive solutions to client

  • Participate in client team meetings as required

  • Meet with WTW brokerage executives to ensure delivery alignment

  • Maintain direct relationships with key client

  • Manage the appropriate level of resources for your client

  • Be a visible sign of professionalism and direction for the practice

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • 2-year Associate degree required; a Business-related field is highly preferred. Additional level(s) of education are a plus.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Claim and/or Risk Control related position with some prior experience working at an insurance carrier or third-party administrator preferred

  • AIC within 3 years of obtaining this position or 5 years or more insurance industry experience exempt

  • WC and Liability experience within real estate and hospitality required

  • Must have appropriate licenses in their resident state

  • Knowledge of Claim Handling & Claim processes and procedures

  • Understand medical case management and cost containment programs

  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures and processes involving insurance

  • Communicate orally and in writing, and display versatility in working with different personalities

  • Obtain relevant information; analyze and report financial data, and communicate technical information orally and in writing

  • Computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Origami and web-based applications

  • Interpersonal relationship skills with internal and external executives

  • Project management skills

  • Understand company products, services, global network, and industry practices

  • Understand the process and value of basic data analytics and benchmarking

  • Travel may be required
