Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Job Description

Manage the full accounting cycle of a company, including preparation and review of accounting entries, review and accounting of transactions with affiliates, analysis of ledger accounts, preparation of financial statements, and analysis and explanation of variances against prior period and projections. Assist the Accounting Manager with regulatory and ad-hoc reports and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review accounting entries.

  • Review and account for transactions with affiliates.

  • Analyze ledger accounts.

  • Prepare financial statements.

  • Analyze and explain variances against prior period and projections.

  • Assist Accounting Manager with regulatory and ad-hoc reports and projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • At least five years of experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Experience and knowledge in monthly closings and Investment Accounting

  • Time management skills to handle multiple deadlines

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Experience in people management

  • Experience in the insurance or banking industry required

Work Environment

This position reports to the Accounting Manager and Controller.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00
