Aston Carter Accounting Supervisor in Miami, Florida

Aston Carter is looking for an Accounting Supervisor for an growing/expanding insurance company.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of accounting entries.

  • Review and accounting of transactions with affiliates.

  • Analysis of ledger accounts.

  • Preparation of financial statements.

  • Analysis and explanation of variances against prior period and projections.

  • Assist the Accounting Manager with regulatory and ad-hoc reports and projects.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • At least five years of experience.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Knowledge in monthly closings and investment accounting.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in people management.

  • Proficiency in accounting, consolidations, and reporting.

  • Skills in general ledger, journal entry, and reconciliation.

  • Experience with financial statements, balance sheets, and account reconciliation.

  • Knowledge of bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Experience in finance, fixed assets, reinsurance, and insurance.
