Autonomous technology solutions are critical enablers for recreational marine, alleviating barriers for entry and reducing anxiety in traditionally stressful operational scenarios. The benefit of autonomous technology is enabling users to confidently operate vessels and focus on pleasurable aspects of boating.

The successful Candidate shall

  • Develop and maintain custom,reusable UI (User Interface) components on the Android platform

  • Develop advanced visualizations/renderings/components using Game Engines

  • Monitor and maintainefficient application/rendering performance

  • Practice Agile methodology and follow best practices forsoftware development such as: Jira, GitHub, Confluence, automated testing, etc.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and renderhigh quality, interactive2D/3D applicationsbased offreal-time environmental data

  • Develop reusable UI components and layoutson Android platform

  • Develop and maintainrobust front/backend communications for components and visualizations

  • Author and maintain design documentation and functional specifications

  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal and external teams

  • Work closely with the design team to implement components and visualizations

  • Review and create technical requirements, best practices, and validation procedures

R equired Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree incomputer engineering, computer science or related engineering field

  • Experience in industry leading game engines such as Unreal, Unity, Godot, etc.

  • In-depth experience in Android, Java,Python, and C/C++ Experience with requirement and issue tracking tools

  • Strong software background with complex software systems programming and development

  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking

  • Ability to communicate ideas and suggestions bothverbally and written

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Experience with UI/UX design and implementation

  • Understanding of design tools such as Figma

  • B.S/M.S. in computer engineering, computer science or related engineering field

  • Experience with SDK development

  • Experience with ADAS and autonomous sensors such as sonar, radar, lidar, and cameras

  • Experience in the marine environment
