Sheraton Metairie Hotel Kitchen Supervisor in Metairie, Louisiana

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Galleria Hospitality LLC. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation and cooking activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. You will be expected to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene, while also managing and training kitchen staff to ensure that they are meeting performance targets. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure that our customers receive the best possible dining experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage and train kitchen staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certification
  • Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen
  • Experience with menu development and recipe creation
  • Familiarity with inventory management software
  • Ability to speak multiple languages

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing ones

Skills:

As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and train your team. You will also need to have a strong understanding of kitchen health and safety regulations, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should have experience with inventory management and menu development, as well as the ability to speak multiple languages to better serve our diverse customer base.
