ASSA ABLOY has a regional manufacturing and distribution facility located in Mesquite, TX. We are expanding our Welding team and looking for several Mig Welders. These roles will be based on-site.

What would you do as our Mig Welder?
You will play an integral role in our production process, ensuring the quality and durability of our doors. Working alongside a small team, you will be responsible for grinding, seaming, and welding high-quality doors for commercial applications.
You would also:
Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Operate welding equipment to fuse metal components together according to precise specifications, as well as grinders, buffers, shears, punches, saws, etc.
Perform quality inspections on welded parts to ensure that they meet company standards.
Sand/buff doors and/or frames to prepare them for painting process.
Help to identify coordinating hardware for coordinating door frames.
Perform other duties and special projects as required.
Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
What we are looking for:
Previous welding knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in various welding techniques, specifically MIG welding required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment would be a plus.
Ability to read manufacturing or shop drawings and use a tape measure.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
Available to work overtime, if needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
