Actalent Superintendent in Mesa, Arizona

Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Facilitates successful jobsite project installation in close partnership with the PM/PE, GC and installers.

Mentors and trains crews for greater efficiency, production and quality.

Participates in turn over meetings and all construction meetings required by the GC.

Forecasts material and personnel needs to ensure all projects function smoothly and within budgeted constraints (financial as well as physical durations).

Verifies weekly payroll is accurate – correctly cost by personnel, project and scope of work – prior to submitting it to PM.

Evaluates employee’s performance.

Attends project scheduling meetings to ensure upcoming projects are correctly represented in durations and resource allocation and communicates schedules to GC’s and field installers. Works with PM to have additional resources reallocated if necessary.

Advocates safety by mentoring, retraining and enacting discipline if necessary. Remains current on regulations to ensure compliance nationwide. Investigates and reports accidents and near misses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

– 2+ years experience as a Superintendent

– Experience managing field personnel – they will work directly with the site foremen

– Experience in roofing, sheet metal and ACM

– Ability to travel occasionally

– High emphasis on safety and knowledge of OSHA regulations

– Ability to train field crews and help them work more efficiently

Intermediate Level
