The Boeing Company is currently seeking Entry-Level Estimator to join their growing team in Mesa, Arizona.

Our Estimating Specialists support U.S. Government and Foreign Military Sale type contracts and proposal activities. This position will be responsible for a variety of estimating tasks, including estimate and cost volume preparation, proposal development, fact-finding, and negotiation support. These specialists will coordinate with different functions to dissect customer requests for proposals and statements of work, and maintain communications with internal and external partners to ensure cost proposals are accurate, complete and of the highest quality.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops cost estimates for technical requirements including design, build, and aftermarket support of Boeing platforms

  • Evaluates requests for proposal and statements of work

  • Coordinates with diverse group of internal functional teams

  • Substantiates cost estimates and prepare proposals for submittal to customer

  • Performs analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)

  • Supports negotiations with a diverse set of customers

  • Develops and improves estimating and pricing methods

  • Evaluates and develops business cases

  • Presents business solutions to preserve and expand the business

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics or business) or a discipline that fosters problem solving, structured thought and creativity

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel skills

  • Interest in solving government resource allocation problems

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work products at the same time

  • University coursework or experience in a business or technical related function including but not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Contracts, Estimating and Pricing, Business Operations, Procurement Financial Analysis

  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Summary pay range for Entry-Level (Level 1): $56,950 – $77,050
