WSP USA NDT Technician - Transport in Merrimack, New Hampshire

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Non-Destructive Technician to carry out ultrasonic testing inspections for our New England Transport team. This role can be based out of either our Boston and Worcester, MA, Providence, RI, Merrimack, NH or Glastonbury, CT offices.

Your Impact

  • Perform ultrasonic testing inspections on a variety of projects for our Bridge Structural team.

  • Responsible for independently carrying out examinations utilizing the ultrasonic testing method.

  • Conduct each examination in compliance with written procedures and interpreting results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industries specifications.

  • Be the lead point of contact for our clients and representative for WSP on various job sites.

  • Analyzes reports and determines solutions with minimal guidance.

  • Diagnoses errors or technical problems and determine appropriate solution.

  • Displays strong knowledge of current field and/or technical practices.

  • Produces high quality technical and professional deliverables on tasks and reports.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

  • Participates in industry groups and seeks mentorship and guidance on solving technical/field issues.

  • Undertakes continued professional development of experience in technical discipline.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 5 + years of experience as a certified Level II in Ultrasonics.

  • Certifiable to UT Level II in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.

  • Familiarity with ultrasonic testing systems (Epoch 650).

  • Practical understanding of ASME, API, and AWS codes.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Excellent communication skills to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proof of classroom and On the Job Training (OJT) hours (this is a requirement).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General NDE Certifications (MT,PT,VT).

  • Phased Array classroom or practical experience.

  • Professional or industry certification preferred.
