Description:

Will be responsible for general wet chemistry testing such as: pipetting, viscosity, pH testing, boiling point, etc.

Will receive training on different instrumentation such as an automatic pipetting machine, Gas Chromatography, IR spectrometer, etc.

Work will be split spending 60% of time performing testing in the laboratory and 40% documenting the results into the computer system.

• Laboratory testing will consist of working with different chemicals that are either raw materials, intermediates, or finished goods.

• Documentation will consist of working through test results, maintaining quality control records, verification of raw materials, generation of certificates of analysis, and USP testing.

When finished with testing and documentation responsibilities, the chemist will be responsible for:

• Inspection of USP containers and tankers.

• Gauging, sampling, and documentation of incoming ethanol shipments.

• Performance of quality jobs as required for backup or peak loads.

The chemist will also be responsible for communication and collaboration with other team members and the supervisor to complete all duties as assigned in the lab.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science or Arts in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Biochemistry, or related.

Wet chemistry testing experience from school OR industry.

Written and verbal communication skills.

Windows and Microsoft Office experience.

Ability to work in a fast pace environment and pick up testing methods quickly.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
