NiSource Director System Operations - Gas Transmission in Merrillville, Indiana

Job Summary

Directs and manages the initiatives associated with the applicable technical functions of gas measurement, pressure regulation, corrosion and leakage. Ensures that efforts are in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory requirements while ensuring safe, reliable service to customers in an efficient, economical manner.

Essential Functions

  • Directs and manages support of technical operations functions, including but not limited to compliance activities related to measurement and regulation, corrosion and leakage.

  • Establishes priorities and develops programs to obtain value-added M&R facilities, corrosion systems and leakage control initiatives

  • Responsible for establishing and managing operations budgets to meet strategic objectives

  • Establishes operating responsibilities/expectations for the Technical staff and implements initiatives that ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements

  • Identifies, develops and prioritizes delivery of technical services training

  • Fosters the necessary environment for effective customer satisfaction

  • Keep abreast of latest technologies, rulemaking, and practices related to pressure/ regulation, gas measurement, corrosion and leakage control.

Required Qualifications For Position

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of leadership experience within a utility

  • 4+ years gas utility operations experience

  • Understanding and execution of capital and O&M budgeting processes

  • Demonstrated ability to provide oversight, leadership and direction in the overall management of gas transmission, distribution, and service operations

  • Knowledge of gas local distribution company "LDC", measurement, regulation & transmission operations, policies, programs and practices.

  • Strong familiarity with PHMSA requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to provide oversight, leadership and direction in the overall management of M&R, Corrosion,, and Compliance

  • Familiarity with Gas' Capital and O&M budgeting processes

Salary Range:

$155,400.00 - $233,100.00
