Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and detailed-oriented Shop Helper to join our facilities team. As a key member of our maintenance team, the Shop Helper will be responsible for ensuring our facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various cleaning tasks, including floor care and industrial cleaning to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests.
• Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Assist with cleaning of machines and removal of scrap metal.
• Use a porter's cart to transport cleaning supplies and equipment throughout the facility.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and to a high standard.
• Work independently or as a part of a team to complete cleaning tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform seasonal lawn care.
• Perform industrial cleaning tasks, including cleaning of machinery and equipment.

Skills:

• Porter experience
• Ability to maintain and clean facilities.
• Experience with commercial cleaning.
• Experience with industrial cleaning.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques.
• Ability to clean and maintain surfaces.
• Experience with custodial services.
• Ability to use specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Experience with residential painting and ladder usage.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
