Position Summary As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, and implement software solutions for market leading sterilization and disinfection devices for the healthcare industries. You will perform system analyses to develop solutions for current and new software projects; Develop software solution on existing platforms and frameworks; Collaboratively design software detailed design that provides required system functionality; Review software designs for compliance with established architecture; Review work of peers and junior engineers. What you'll do as a Senior Software Developer Designs, implements, tests, and debugs applications according to corporate policies and business operating procedures on new and sustaining engineering projects. Leads the technical development for mid-size projects. Participates in design and code reviews and/or inspections to ensure proper implementation of security control measures defensive coding practices. Collaborates on unusual/complex issues and approval on plans and larger-scale designs. Participates in design reviews to identify issues and provide design recommendations; participates in code reviews and/or inspections to identify issues and provide feedback. Collaborates with software team members to propagate good design principles and development practices across the team. Investigates new software technologies and tools. Creates software development process documentation to include architectural documents, requirements, design, and interface specifications, and verification documentation. Performs unit and integration testing to ensure software meets specifications and expectations. Reviews and resolves software change requests and defects. Work as a collaborative team member in engineering projects. Collaborates with groups outside of direct responsibilities including other engineering groups, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, etc. for project planning, analysis of product requirements, and to outline proposed solutions. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed Required: Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (A degree in another Engineering or Scientific discipline may be acceptable with proven software education and/or training and demonstrated software experience.) Requires 5+ years overall of related software engineering experience in development and/or verification. 4+ years' experience of software development in C++ is required. Experience in writing software requirements in collaboration with systems 1+ years' experience in network communication interfaces. Experience with developing in multithreaded environment on RTOS or embedded Linux platform. Experience with software design, model-based design and defensive coding practices. Exceptional team player and problem-solving abilities. Preferred: Experience with YOCTO based BSP development is desirable. Experience using software integrated development environments (IDEs) and tools including compiling/building, debugging, configuration management (version control), defect management, continuous integration, and code analysis tools. Working knowledge of communication and network standards such as X509 Certificates, TCP/IP, HTTPS, TLS is highly desired. Experience with IEC 62304 for medical device developmen
