Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the R&D Lab team by taking direction from senior engineers on active projects. * Assist in the maintenance, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems and components essential for aerospace applications. * Operate and maintain fabrication equipment (e.g., tube bender, drill press, milling machine) and calibration tools (e.g., viscometer, densometer). * Lead calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability. * Troubleshoot mechanical systems and resolve issues related to performance and instrumentation. * Participate actively in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to various functions as needed. * Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making. * Support fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment. * Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture. Requirements * Completed two-year degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a closely related field. * Strong experience in mechanical systems design, soldering/wiring, and troubleshooting. * Excellent skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise scientific documentation abilities. * Interpersonal Skills * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and innovation. * Willingness to travel occasionally to other facilities, local universities, and suppliers. * Must be a U.S. citizen.
