The Role Provide support to the sales effort by conducting reviews of in-house pre-orders and purchase orders terms and conditions to ensure contractual obligations are met and corporate objectives are maintained, to include business decisions and legal concerns. Drive contract negotiations with Customers, negotiating terms and conditions. Review and take exceptions to Project RFPs and state and local government RFP terms and conditions. This position is hybrid after training. Tuesdays and Thursday are in the office at our Mentor OH location. What You Will Do As required, escalate Customer issues to appropriate functional manager and track to resolution. Work with Corporate Legal Representatives to assure that all contracts are succinct, effective, complete, and adequately protect STERIS's interests. Interface with various departments within STERIS to ensure accurate information is identified in the agreements. Departments include, but are not limited to, the business units, legal, risk management, credit dept., etc. Maintain a tracking system of all agreement reviews with a clear description of each process and timeline. What You Will Do Provide in-depth review of purchase orders, sub-contract agreements, and pre-order agreements, taking the necessary exceptions to ensure corporate objectives are maintained and pre-negotiated contractual obligations are met. Review Project RFP/RFI terms and conditions and local and state government bid terms and conditions, working with the Corporate Accounts team, Account Managers and Group Leaders to ensure terms and conditions represent corporate and sales objectives. Liaise with contractors to negotiate contractual terms and conditions that support corporate goals and business decisions. If exceptions have been taken on an agreement, ensure Customer has accepted same when fully executed copy of the terms and conditions is returned. Interface directly with the Customer in support of STERIS's sales efforts, when required. While reviewing contract language, note information pertaining to scope of work and notify Sales of requirements. What You Need To Be Successful Bachelor's degree Minimum 3 years experience in a corporate contracts function; demonstrated experience in corporate contract negotiations. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel Excellent computer experience (including database management).
