Required Skills:

Data Scientist, Analytics Responsibilities:

  1. Use statistical and quantitative method to answer business questions such as market sizing, user behavior analysis, and user acquisition strategy.

  2. Partner with Product and Design teams to develop organization roadmap, market-strategies, and user understanding research with the help of data analysis tools such as MySQL, Tableau, and Python.

  3. Collaborate with Engineering team to design and execute data collection and storage requests.

  4. After data collection, implement ETL pipelines and validate data quality in database systems such as Hive, SQL, and Presto.

  5. Conduct complex exploratory analysis through writing efficient querying-languages such as MySQL and Spark, among various distributed storage databases.

  6. Author online A/B experiment plans for emerging features and products based on the principles of statistical inference, mathematics, and big data.

  7. Develop metrics in company internal systems, monitor the metrics through software and dashboards, and present data-informed strategic recommendations to Product/Analytics leadership.

  8. Furthermore, use tools such as Tableau, R, and Python to perform deep dive analysis on trends, abnormalities, and insights observed from research as well as A/B experiments.

  9. Translate data insights into presentations, reports, and visualizations to influence cross-functional partners’ business strategies.

  10. Analysis to understand user behaviors to inform product strategies that improve users experience.

  11. Practicing and help establishing best data and analytics practices across teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Physics, or related field. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

    1. Applied statistics, including causal inference and experimentation (A/B testing) in an industry setting for multi-sided ecosystems or low sample size environments
    1. Quantitative analysis and working with distributed databases (Hive, Hadoop, or similar databases), or highly complex dataset
    1. Data querying languages, scripting languages, or statistical/mathematical software
    1. Exploratory analysis and market sizing to inform development of new product strategy
    1. Analytics: Back-end quality/Performance & Reliability, Risk & Integrity, Infrastructure system design, or Marketing Analytics.

Public Compensation:

$175,457/year to $196,900/year + bonus + equity + benefits
