Meta Business Development Manager, Reality Labs in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in structuring, negotiating and closing go-to-market deals with our our strategic wearable partner. You translate market and product understanding that drive partner value through joint go-to-market activities. This is an external-facing role that works closely with internal Product Marketing, Marketing and Product and other cross-functional teams to collaborate and close deals in support of wearable global product launches, go-to-market activities, licensing, partnership strategy and market analysis, and other initiatives to expand our partnerships. The successful candidate will inform product strategy by bringing a deep understanding of partner and market needs, opportunities, and pain points (e.g., industry analysis to identify market needs, segmentation, opportunity sizing, business models), negotiate and secure partner support of go-to-market initiatives that lead to successful global launches (and post-launch support) and new partnership collaborations; drive product growth by activating and growing solutions (e.g., developing partner solutions playbook anchored on partner business outcomes or growth plans for mature products).

Business Development Manager, Reality Labs Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate and close marketing, channel expansion, and new country global launch deals in support of AR product roadmap

  2. Identify opportunities and represent the view of the partner and market through industry research, data & competitive analysis, and competitive intelligence.

  3. Influence product and marketing strategy to align with partner needs and key terms.

  4. Analyze product performance, advocate improvements and track in-market initiatives to scale the partnership

  5. Manage comprehensive, cross-functional activities including operational initiatives that drive scale

  6. Partner with the Product Marketing Management, Product Management, Media Partnerships, Engineering, Sales, Communications to support key partnership initiatives that drive growth

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in Business or Marketing-related field or similar work experience

  2. 10+ years experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development working with partners on technologies and bringing them to market.

  3. Knowledge of Consumer Electronic market, industry trends, market conditions and competitive landscape

  1. Experience negotiating and structuring go-to-market, distribution and market entry terms in the US and globally in consumer electronic market

  2. Experience managing strategic business partnerships

  3. Deep technical understanding of AR and wearable technologies

  4. Experience contributing in setting strategic direction and scaling operations

  5. Facility for identifying key strategic concerns quickly, operating within ambiguity, and driving internal stakeholders to a consensus

  6. MBA

Public Compensation:

$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
